This peer teaching course is brought to the Academy by Traitware – a company specializing in Multi-factor Authentication. In this unique approach, CEO Herbert Spencer, has created this program for his staff to be able to learn and implement OAuth2, by studying together and taking turns teaching each other.

This class is open for any individuals who may also be looking to learn more about this technology which is the industry-standard protocol for authorization that is widely used by companies such as Spotify, Google, GitHUB, Traitware, Instagram, Facebook, STEAM, Waze, etc. OAuth 2.0 focuses on client developer simplicity while providing specific authorization flows for web applications, desktop applications, mobile phones, and living room devices.

This will be comprehensive and thorough treatment of the OAuth2 protocol and surrounding technologies, including OpenID Connect and JOSE/JWT.

Basic knowledge of:

OSI Networking Model

Encrypting connections using TLS

Java Script and node. JS

Textbook recommended (not required) :  “OAuth2 in Action” by Justin Richer and Antonio Sanso
